Prof. Syeda Afshana Bhat given additional charge of EMMRC Director at Kashmir University

Srinagar, August 4: Kashmir University has assigned Prof. Syeda Afshana Bhat, faculty member at the Media Education Research Centre (MERC), the additional charge of In-Charge Director of the Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMMRC) until further orders.

According to an official order issued by the University’s Administration (Teaching Section), Prof. Syed Afshana Bhat will discharge the responsibilities of In-Charge Director, EMMRC, in addition to her existing duties at MERC. The order has been made effective retrospectively from August 1, 2026.

The appointment was notified through an administrative order issued on August 4 by the University of Kashmir and has been circulated to all concerned university authorities, academic departments, research centres and other offices for compliance and information.

The Educational Multimedia Research Centre functions as the University’s media production and educational content centre, supporting audio-visual and digital learning initiatives.
