Holding electricity bills in their hands, the locals chanted slogans against the PDD. One of the locals Abrar Ah while talking to said that the Power Development Department isn’t providing them the receipts according to the “Reading of the Electronic Metre” but the tariff is based on the wish of officers”

He added that although they used to receive the bill of the month around the 800 Rs-1000 Rs but abruptly the department has send the bills starting from 4000 to 8000 Rs which is an absolute injustice as even if the person will use all appliances it is expected around 2,000 Rs only as per family.

More ever the protestors added that there is hardly any electricity seen during the harsh winter days and the Power Development Department (PDD) is charging hefty amount for none of their mistakes.

However the officials denied any such issue and said that the bill dispatched according to the Reading of Metre.
