Anantnag, Aug 27 : Inhabitants of Qazigund and adjacent areas here have demanded immediate renovation of road stretch from Qazigund to Dalwatch in Anantnag district, stating that the commuters have been facing tremendous hardships as the road is in shambles since long.

Insha Jan, a student at Degree College Doru told the news agency— that the worst condition of the road increases the travel time in reaching the College. “It is very inconvenient to travel due to the bad condition of the road from Qazigund to Dalwatch,” she said.

Aqib Rasool, a local said while macadamization of the roads was going on in different areas of the locality, the village has been ignored once again. “While roads in adjacent areas have been macadamised, ironically this road has been left out for unknown reasons,” he said.

“The whole stretch would be macadamized soon,” he assured
