Srinagar, May 19: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast partly to generally cloudy weather across Jammu and Kashmir from May 19 to 21, with spells of light rain, thundershowers, gusty winds and possible hailstorms expected at scattered to many places, mainly during afternoon and evening hours.

According to the weather department, generally dry weather is likely from May 22 to 25 during the forenoon, while brief showers may occur at isolated to scattered places towards afternoon and late afternoon hours.

The MET Centre said dry weather is expected to prevail from May 26 to 28, while partly to generally cloudy conditions with light rain or thundershower at isolated places are likely from May 29 to 31.

In its advisory, the department warned of the possibility of thunder, lightning and gusty winds with speeds of 40-50 kmph at a few places in both Kashmir and Jammu divisions during May 19 to 21.

The weather office also said hot and dry conditions are expected at many places during the next two days, with heat wave conditions likely at a few places in Jammu division.
