Srinagar, April 29: Rainfall activity is expected to impact Jammu and Kashmir from April 29, with generally cloudy conditions and spells of light rain and thundershowers forecast across many areas, accompanied by gusty winds and the possibility of hailstorms later in the day.

The advisory indicates that the weather system is likely to remain active through the afternoon and evening hours on April 29, when thunderstorms and localized hail events may occur, increasing the risk of damage to standing crops and outdoor activity disruptions.

Farmers have been advised to suspend agricultural operations during this period to avoid losses, particularly in view of gusty winds and hail that could affect orchards and fields.

Intermittent rainfall is expected to continue at scattered places in the following days, suggesting an extended period of unsettled weather conditions across parts of the region.

A brief dry spell is likely thereafter, although isolated light rain remains possible in some areas, indicating that weather conditions may not stabilize immediately. [KNT]
