Udar Akash is a reputed Media organization in West Bengal which takes up issues pertaining to societal, environmental, violence of women and children, suffering of marginalised and educational issues. Professor Rattan Lal Hangloo was Kalyani University west Bengal 2013-2015 Later when he took over Vice-Chancellor ship of Allahabad University from 2015-2020 the former Lok Sabha speaker late Shree Soomnath Chatterjee stated that Prof Hangloo’s going to Allahabad was a great loss to West Bengal.
Professor Rattan Lal Hangloo had a permanent position of Professor in the Department of History, Central University of Hyderabad (Superannuated in January 2019after total service of 37 years.) He was a member of Academic Council of the United Nations System, at Yale University, USA for two years for Asia and Africa. He was chancellor’s nominee to Kashmir University for two terms. He has headed the Chair of Indian Studies at Tbilisi University Georgia. He has also headed the Chair of Indian Studies at University of West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago.
He has been awarded several prestigious fellowships, which include: a Senior Fulbright Fellowship by United States of America. DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst), Fellowship by Germany. visiting fellowship (twice) by Maison des Sciences del homme of Paris (FMHS) France (twice) He Was presented the Dewang Mehta National Foundation Award for outstanding contribution to Education as the best Vice-Chancellor of the Country on 28th of November 2015 He Was awarded 16th Mother Teresa Intemational award for Eminent Academicians for 2016 Ganga Vibhushan Samman for Academic Excellence in 2018 by Maa Ganga Nirmal Sanrakshan Samiti, Prayag Allahabad 23rd Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Award in 2017 for Education by Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Academy New Delhi Sir Sayyid Award in 2017 Was awarded Purva Saman by Poorva Post the most renowned paper of Uttar Pradesh on 2nd July 2019 Prof Rattan Lal Hangloo originally is from Hangalgund Kokemag Kashmir. He has published over 200 papers in national and international journals.
