“Doctor SB,is this your brother’s 1st Eid after death,” he asked
“Yes my dear”
“Where will you be ,place he is resting or place you live at”
“The place he is resting”
“Ok sir,but I may not come on 1st Eid,will be there next day”
“No issues ,relax”
“Dr.Saab,is there any religious background and santity in visiting on 1st Eid after death,”
“No,”I said
“Then…?”
“Look .what do you do when you visit the family from where a person has gone,and gone for ever,you offer Fateha,which are Holy verses from Holy Book,so you not only earn for yourself but also as a social being you TRY to share the agony of the family and give them a feeling of BELONGINGNESS.”
“BELONGINGNESS,I like this word,
as if you belong to them after someone has LEFT them, and is not belonging to them anymore,”

“Dr.Saab Shujaat Sb. has been injured in a firing incident, please confirm,”texted Gulzar Shabum

I try Amin ,I try shoaib,I try all I try him too,I try and cry..
Mother asks.”.What has happened”
Without confirmation I tell her ,
Shuja’at Bukhari is no more,
My wife cries,my brother shouts loud ,my mother puts her head onto her two fragile knees for long,
“BREAKING BREAKING NEWS ALL OVER,”

“Sorry doctor Saab,couldn’t make it on Eid,had to go.”
“But why did you go”.
“Sir,I am transfered”.
“But how can they transfer you before completing your TENURE”

AND I woke up and tried to find him around in the pitch dark room but could feel his presence in the room,guy with hight,specs,wrist watch on right hand,short cut mostiches,smiling face denoting 4 white sparkling teeth over looking his fast hair fall from the front….
He is no more but he is here,
He is around to lead AMK,Language,Literature,History, Kashmir with KASHMIRIYAT.
