Srinagar, March 18: Renowned Journalist and TV Debater, Peer Viqar Ul Aslam concludes 10 day workshop at The Grooming Kashmir Institute, Srinagar on Thursday.
The focus of the workshop was media literacy aiming to enhance the knowledge of Participants about media and its roles in the society.
On the farewell day, Peer Viqar Ul Aslam thanked the administration of the institute for conducting such workshops for students and professionals who are interested in media studies.
He added “In times when press has been reduced to yellow journalism, these workshops are not just beneficial but very important to present the journalism in an unbiased and unprejudiced manner.”
On the farewell day the participants shared their learning experiences and positive reviews.
One participant said, “This workshop helped me to understand the roles and responsibilities of media and how it shapes public opinion in a society.”
Highlights of the workshop were fundamentals of journalism, digital and social media usage, news reporting and public speaking, photography and debating skills.
The workshop was held from March 08 and concluded on March 18 at The Grooming Kashmir Institute.
