Srinagar, Apr 17 : Voicing concern over the rising drug menace in the valley, Dr Suneem Khan on Friday called for active public cooperation to dismantle the narcotics network, asserting that “our children are our tomorrow and tomorrow is under threat.”

In a post on social media platform X, Dr Suneem described the situation as alarming, saying the “demon of drugs is swallowing our Valleys, our Mohallas, our families, one soul at a time.”

Seeking to bridge the gap between citizens and law enforcement, He stated that “the police standing beside you is not a stranger.

They are YOU in uniform. Your brother. Your neighbour. Your own blood.”

He urged people to share any information—”a name, a location, a suspicion”—with the authorities, adding, “Your one brave step can snatch an entire generation from destruction.”

“Report drug traders. Save Kashmir. This is OUR fight,” Dr Suneem said in her appeal under the ‘Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir’ initiative. (KNS)
