With administration stressing upon private coaching centres to strictly follow the regulations and directives issued by the government from time to time, it is high time for teachers to realise their duties and abide by the orders. The education minister was right in expressing concern over the “menace” of private coaching saying it was “equally hazardous like drugs”. The minister justified his remarks by saying that students opting for private coaching was an insult to the teachers of these schools. “If I was a teacher and my students would opt for private coaching, I would take it as an insult to me,” Bukhari said and urged parents to think over it and stop sending their children for private coaching. It is a fact that private coaching has become a business and parents should understand and go through all the aspects of sending their wards to private coaching as it snatches peace of mind from students as they remain busy with academics in schools and later at centres. The parents should trust the education system and the Chief Minister’s Super-50 Coaching Programme and wait for results.
