Resident house gutted in Ganderbal fire incident

Property worth lakhs of rupees damaged in a devastating fire incident in Khan Mohalla Ramwari Gund area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday. 

Official sources told Rising Kashmir that a residential house of Gulzar Ahmad Khan son Of Khan Zaman of Khan Mohalla Ramwari Village during the intervening nigh of 26 and 27 August  caught fire suddenly However, before the fire tenders could reach the spot, the house was completely damaged.

Sources said that fire tenders from fire station Gund were rushed to douse the flames, and after several hours, fire was doused by the fighters with the help of police and locals. 

The loss could be in lakhs as more than two houses including a shed was gutted ,they said adding that one person namely Ashiq Hussain Hajam was suffered injuries he was taken to PHC Gund where from doctors reffered him to SMHS hospital for further treatment.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known, they added and said police has registered a case and initiated further investigation.
