The residents of Pandan Malarrata, Srinagar told that a Water Pipe in the area is broken completely and water is flowing from it continuously and the people have demanded the Chief Engineer PHE Srinagar for its immediate repairing.
Although in the previous visit of PHE officials, they inspected the place and dug this portion to understand the damage to the water pipe. They left the spot after assuring us that it will be repaired tomorrow and since two months the residents are waiting for that tomorrow.
The residents added that Dug up portion has taken a shape of a pond and the service road is narrow and it is making situation more difficult as it amplifies the risk of an accident.
Meanwhile the seeping water from the leaking pipe has started to damage the foundations of the nearby houses and it again poses the greater risk to the lives and properties of the inhabitants.
The locals residents have demanded immediate repair of the leaking pipe and to save them from prevalent suffering. (CNS)
