Restoration work under progress along Sgr-Jmu highway: Traffic Police Department

Following triggering of landslides and mudslides, the traffic department spokesman said that restoration work is in progress at Kishtwari Pather, Hingni on Jammu-Srinagar NHW, it will take some time. People are advised to avoid journeys on NH-44 till the road is clear.

Earlier landslides were triggered at Dalwass, Mehar-Cafeteria, Trishul Mode, Panthial, Chambalwas and prepared a single way to clear the stranded traffic between Nashri and Banihal in Ramban district.

The spokesman said that  TCU for latest update, Jammu (0191-2459048, 0191- 2740550, 9419147732, 103, Srinagar (0194-2450022, 2485396, 18001807091, 103), Ramban (9419993745, 1800-180-7043) and Udhampur (8491928625).

Srinagar-Leh Highway and Mughal Road are still closed due to accumulation of snow along the highway. However the men and machinery are on the job to restore these vital highways as soon as possible.
