Ali the political parties whosoever came in power so far have suppressed the resentment to cover their follies created due to their inefficient way of working and have always put the population under military coverage falling under the jurisdiction of live police stations of downtown in Srinagar. When we go through the pages of history we come to know that people of these very areas have made all the movements successful to be clear these very areas have remained the centre of every movement. Whether it was the movement of Sericulture workers, Martyrs of Zaldagar against enforcement of imposing of tax to shalbafs in 1931, Desecration of Holy Quran movement a Holy Relic of Hazratbal Shrine (1963) including the inception of present movement first appeared from these very areas and then spread in length and breadth of Kashmir valley. Thus Srinagar city being capital of Kashmir always remained the central place of all the movements. The historical places like Jamia Masjid, Khankah Moulla,Khankahi Naqishbandiya, Mujahid Manzil and Mirwaiz Manzil, where from all the movements took birth fall under the area of these very five police stations. It is because of this very reason that residents of these areas stand eye-witness to the ups and downs of all the movements from the very start. Even today political events of such political and religious movements are at the tip of tongue of residents of these areas. The tallest political and religious leaders of far flung areas shifted their residences to these very areas. The Mirwaiz Dynasty shifted from Tral and made their stay at Islamyarbal near Mujahid Manzil. The late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah left his original birth place of Soura, and offered political services to people from Mohalla Syed Ali Akbar near Fateh Kadal Srinagar. Though these political and religious leaders paid good-bye to the areas of these five police stations, and constructed palatial and beautiful buildings different Health resorts and live an isolated life to the extent that they even preferred to reside in public property of late Shah Faisal of Saudi Arabia. In addition the owners of old and centuries back constructed buildings falling in these five police stations were pressurized to sell out these buildings at cheap rates which were purchased by some militancy wearing dress leaders, they shifted over there to run the movement in these restricted areas, with us.
The People of Kashmir have learnt the political gimmicks from these very areas, and gave strong hold to Kashmir movement. The armed struggle is also related to these five Police stations only, it is not a guess that start of fruitful stone pelting and students movement, which is a headache for Central Government, are the production or the areas, of these very Police stations. Today stone pelting does not prevail in Kashmir only, but in most of areas in India, stone pelting is gathering momentum day by day, to make the movement a success the Indian tyrants, Dogra rulers through all the political, revengeful instruments, deceitful and haughty methods did not only conceive minutely, these five police stations but remained worried to come out of these miseries. Majority of our ancestors breathed their last with these very aspirations. The residents of these very areas always acted upon the directions and orders of political leaders and kept the movement alive so far they never bothered about their personal and homely engagements and did not depart from movement of justified achievement of rights.
Pertinent to mention that they are the determined people, who recalled the rest of Kashmir about the movement. It is because of this reason that parties in power provided first different amenities and privileges to these very people, to run the Govt. with ease. The measures like free and low cost ration, locking of Evacuee property and other artificial gimmicks proved finally unfruitful. The last measures started now ie; to put these areas under restrictions daily and seize their free movements, and keep them house arrest has been a normal and routine habit to curb the movements of this unfortunate population of Srinagar City. This way large population has become unique prison in the Sub-continent. For this Safakadal, Syed Mansoor bridge, Hawal and Khanyar have been fixed the four notorious gates of part of paradise. Thus the residents of these areas are being punished for the sacrifice they and their ancestors have offered. The rulers on other hand clarify, that this sacred and great movement is restricted to these very areas, and to curb the activities in rest of the valley become, easier for them. You must be aware that minds of the people who have lust and thirst for power becomes rusty and to achieve this they feel no shame to go to any extent they can. They congratulate each other even on moral degradation; they receive from their masters and even consider it as achievement, like wise present regime “one state one tax” work on the policy of RSS and befool people. The public knows that present Govt. is compelled to implement and obey the orders of Union Govt. because this Govt is their creation only, when a women does not want to hand over the bunch of rotten and rusty age old kitchen till death , so how a female ruler will leave the Govt. given to her through wrongful means , despite of the fact the public suffers, faces miseries and life has been made virtually a dungeon for them until Central Govt. will complete all the remaining and left out undesirable and unwanted works through this very self styled and back door made Govt. It is but for the reasons that this female ruler has been put under strict vigil of RSS at Nagpora. They have been promised high posts of corruption in near future to complete this job, though the people who cry, have not left anything undone from 1953 to 1975. After that in 1975 the tallest leader did not think with forsighting patience and placed this empty box on his head, which resulted in that this nation with uncounted religious and political leaders today live like orphans. Thus way the whole Kashmir and inhabitants of these five police stations in particular have become orphanages virtually, Today Kashmiris feel all helpless, to see dual policy of Political leaders. The routine and daily way of keeping people imprisoned has created many doubts in the minds of people. The publicity of different panics has made the integrity of leaders suspicious, on the other hand the attachment of family members of such people has given rise to a strong hold upon their doubts. This way on the analogy of restrictions in areas of live police stations, the house arrest of trade leaders, religious and political preaches has become a routine matter for them. The remaining population falling out of these five police stations are kept free in a way as if they have no relation with the people miler forces coverage, in other words this way make us clear that these poor people have no concern with your movement, and they cooperate with your movement under compulsion, thus central Govt succeeded in creating a mental depression among the people. Added to this is the tragedy that residents of non-restricted areas move freely in their transport, through restricted areas, in a highest speed and often create traffic jam problem at every corner. The restricted area people peep through window panes of their houses and observe their free movements in a very worried, despair and disappointed manner. They say that whether the struggle movement has been inherited by us only and whether in any other area has the responsibility of taking this movement upto logical point. The restriction order has deprived central places of Workship, particularly the Jamia Masjid Srinagar from the Holy Quranic version to offer congregational prayers on Friday.
The present Govt. did not forgive the people even on “Last Friday of Ramzan” prayers this year. The walls and wooden pillars of historical Jamia Masjid were mourning on this day. It was for the first time in Kashmir history that Jamia Masjid remained closed on this sacred and a great day of Ramzan. Which has never happened during the Dogra Rulers in past but occurred during “Multi Rule.” Even the souls of our ancestors must have been mourning for this tragedy.
It may be mentioned here that we have selected Friday for every protest call. Late Mirwaiz Molvi Mohammad Yousuf Shah Sahib had realized this folly. To maintain sanctity of this great Mosque and had therefore declared the Central Jamia Masjid a place for prayers, religious speeches only and for political events and speeches he had fixed Muslim park outside out North of Jamia Masjid. If todays leadership also work on this very criteria and fix up Jamia Masjid for prayers a religious speeches only, and would restrict the political programmes outside the mosque perhaps the holiness of Masjid will remain in tact. In addition if residents of four sided small mosques adjacent to Jamia Masjid would offer Friday Prayers in Jamia Masjid only that would increase the gathering of congregational prayers on Friday at the great mosque. The offering of Friday prayers preferably at Jamia Masjid has religious sanctity, the gathering at Hazratbal shrine every Friday is a standing example, where despite of few-events and episodes the Friday prayers continued over there. This is my suggestion if the nation and the leaders accept this and present Govt. also purview of services offered by their ancestors consider with open heart, and not impose any restrictions on Fridays in the vicinity perhaps this kill minimize the punishment for them on the day of resurrection.
