Srinagar, June 15: Scores of employees Thursday staged a protest demanding revocation of New Job Policy.

As per the new recruitment rules by the government of Jammu and Kashmir, every new appointee shall be entitled to the minimum of scale of pay along with the grade pay (7000-8000) applicable to the post against which he is appointed.

The persons appointed under these rules shall be entitled to annual increments, Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and City Compensatory Allowance after successful completion of their five years service on consolidated salary.

“Such a policy is a sheer injustice to the highly qualified youth of Kashmir. How can they run their families and how can they manage their livelihood? The new policy has created frustration and anger among the youth,” the protesting employees said.

They appealed government to revoke the New Job Policy as soon as possible. (CNS)
