Pulwama, Jan 19 : Under The Right Path initiative, Musuada Foundation, in collaboration with MF Productions, on Sunday organised an awareness session at Khrew village in Pulwama district, aimed at sensitising youth about the growing threats of drug abuse, violence and radicalisation.
The programme witnessed active participation from local youth, reflecting increasing community engagement in constructive and reform-oriented social initiatives.
Speakers during the session highlighted that drug abuse and violence have emerged as serious challenges, posing a direct threat to peace, social harmony and the future of younger generations, particularly in vulnerable areas.
Representatives of Musuada Foundation and MF Productions stated that The Right Path initiative is focused on working towards a drug-free and violence-free Kashmir, adding that the programme is part of a sustained effort to steer youth towards positive and productive life choices.
On the occasion, the organisational coordinator announced that a seven-day skill development workshop would soon be organised in the same village to further empower local youth with practical skills and awareness.
Addressing the gathering, the District Convenor warned that drug abuse is rapidly eroding the social fabric and pushing young people into a dangerous trap. He said certain elements are deliberately attempting to lure youth into drugs and violence, urging the public to identify such individuals and report them to the police and concerned authorities. He termed drug peddlers and promoters of violence as a grave threat to society.
The organisers expressed gratitude to the District Administration Pulwama and Pulwama Police for their continuous support in successfully implementing The Right Path initiative.
Local residents appreciated the programme and lauded the organisers for taking timely steps to address pressing social issues, while also urging them to conduct more such awareness programmes in the area. (KNC)
