Srinagar, Oct 21: Three persons were injured two of them critical after a motorcycle they were riding was hit by an unidentified vehicle in the Parimpora area of Srinagar on Tuesday evening.
According to eyewitnesses, the collision occurred when a speeding vehicle rammed into the motorcycle, throwing all three riders onto the road. The injured were immediately rushed to JVC Hospital, Bemina, where doctors described the condition of two as critical.
The injured have been identified as Adnan Labroo (22), a resident of Rampora Chattabal, who sustained multiple injuries and remains critical; Usman Mehraj (18) of Bemina, who is reported to be stable; and Mushtaq Ahmad, a resident of Handwara, who is also stated to be in Critical condition.
A police official said the victims were riding a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01AF-2668 when it was struck by an unknown vehicle. “An FIR No. 104/2025 has been registered under Sections 281 and 125(A) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Police Station Parimpora, and efforts are underway to trace the vehicle involved,” the official said.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and launched a thorough investigation.
