Kupwara, Feb 23: Rouble Nagi, an internationally acclaimed art educator who was recently conferred a global teaching honour in Dubai, visited the border village of Amrohi near the Line of Control (LoC) and announced the establishment of a computer learning centre for local children.
In a statement, her office said that during her visit to the far-flung frontier village, Nagi interacted with residents to understand the issues faced by the community living along the international border. She also distributed blankets to underprivileged families as part of a humanitarian aid initiative.
Officials stated that the proposed computer centre aims to impart digital literacy to children in the region, helping bridge the technological gap for students in remote areas.
Addressing villagers, Nagi described her international recognition as a proud moment for the country and reaffirmed her commitment to expanding educational opportunities for marginalized communities.
“It is our responsibility to ensure that children living in border areas have access to modern education and skills,” she said.
