Under the distinguished presidence of Dr. Shad Ramadan, the Sahitya Academy held Kavi Sindhi program unfolded at Boys Degree College Anantnag, featuring the celebrated poet Ali Shaida as the poet of the event. The event attracted poets and literary enthusiasts from across the Valley, highlighting the rich literary depth of Ali Shaida. In his eloquent opening address, Dr. Shad Ramadan extolled Ali Shaida as a leading luminary poet among contemporary poets of kashmir, noting the distinctive and refined quality of his poetry. Dr. Ramadan emphasized that Ali Shaida’s poetic prowess extends beyond the scope of a single gathering. Shaida, who has graced the literary our literature with nearly a dozen collections, spoke about his life, education, and the art of poetry, and enthralled the audience with his evocative readings of his soulful poetry. The program also saw heartfelt tributes from other speakers, who praised Shaida’s profound impact and eminent status in the literary realm. Concluding the evening, Dr. Rehana Ji, Assistant Professor and Head of the Kashmiri Department at Degree College Anantnag, extended her gratitude to the esteemed guests, capping a memorable celebration of poetry and culture.
