Srinagar, June 26 (KNS) : J&K Peoples Conference President and MLA Handwara Sajad Gani Lone today paid heartfelt tributes to Imam Hussain (AS), the grandson of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the revered martyrs of Karbala on the solemn occasion of Youm-e-Ashura, honouring their supreme sacrifice, unparalleled courage and timeless message of truth, justice and steadfastness in the face of oppression.
In his message, Sajad Lone said that Karbala stands as an eternal testament to the triumph of truth over oppression and justice over tyranny. He stated that the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) was not bound by time, geography or community, but remains a universal symbol of moral courage and the unwavering pursuit of righteousness.
He said the spirit of Ashura continues to illuminate the path of humanity, reminding generations of the importance of defending dignity, standing against injustice and upholding principles even in the face of the greatest challenges.
PC President paid homage to Hazrat Abbas (AS), Hazrat Ali Akbar (AS), Hazrat Ali Asghar (AS) and all the martyrs of Karbala, whose supreme devotion and sacrifice continue to inspire millions across the world. He also acknowledged the remarkable resilience and strength of Hazrat Zainab (SA), whose courage preserved and carried forward the message of Karbala.
Lone stated that the true essence of Youm-e-Ashura lies in embracing the values of compassion, justice, unity and humanity.
“Imam Hussain (AS) and the martyrs of Karbala remain a timeless beacon of truth, courage and sacrifice, guiding humanity towards the path of righteousness,” he said. (KNS).
