NEW DELHI, AUG 31: Salman Nizami, a close associate of former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, on Monday categorically dismissed speculation about Azad’s return to the Congress party, asserting that such a possibility does not arise.

Nizami launched a scathing attack on the Congress’s leadership, accusing it of failing to recognise the contribution and stature of the veteran leader.

He alleged that the party’s young leadership repeatedly humiliated Azad, who dedicated decades of his life to the organisation.

“The same people who failed to value and respect Azad are now spreading rumours about his return to Congress which is not true.

Azad has repeatedly and categorically denied any such possibility,” Nizami stated.

He further emphasised that Ghulam Nabi Azad has moved forward with dignity and has no reason to return to a party that failed to respect his contribution and leadership.
