Srinagar, July 20, 2024 – The Travel Agents Association of India, Jammu and Kashmir chapter, convened a meeting today at the Radisson Collection Hotel, Raj Bagh, Srinagar, where members elected new office bearers for the 2024-2026 term.

Sameer Ahmed Boktoo was elected as the chairman of the Travel Agents Association of India, Jammu and Kashmir chapter. Irshad Hazari was elected as the honorary secretary (unopposed), and Rahil Bashir was unanimously elected as the honorary treasurer.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Boktoo expressed his deep gratitude to the members for their participation in the election process and for placing their trust in him. He recognized the significant responsibilities that come with his new role and emphasized his commitment to addressing the challenges faced by the members and the broader travel and tourism industry in Kashmir. He assured the members of his dedication to ensuring that the authorities are aware of the difficulties faced by the travel & tourism sectors in Kashmir and promised to work towards resolving these issues.
The meeting marked a pivotal moment for the association, with the newly elected chairman and office bearers pledging to lead with dedication and a focus on the advancement of the travel and tourism industry in the region.
