Poem -19
The Golden Saucer
By Dr. Rakesh Chandra
High in the sky, from deep within
The pitch black cauldron, a golden Saucer is slowly appearing on the horizon-the whole universe is a silent
Witness to this breathtaking spectacle;
After a while, it will appear on the Transparent sheets of water,
Flowing or stagnant, of waterbodies,
Waiting eagerly to caress and shower
Their abundant love to a celestial body,
Floating like a beautiful child in their lap;
Silver clouds and twinkling stars
Are on holiday for the full night;
They also want to look at this Enchanting scenario, without any disturbance;
Even the gentle air is not blowing,
And the nocturnal sounds of birds, Insects and other living beings, are Piercing the thin envelope of atmosphere;
The golden moon, a full moon, has
Assumed the saucer shape, and
Contains numerous items of joy, hope,
Contentment and soul-satisfying nectar of eternal happiness.
I want to enjoy the golden moon,
And I don’t want to see the dark night
Wane, as it happens in other days.
