Mumbai, Jan 22, 2025, Kashmir Pen: The monumental task of constructing the world’s tallest railway arch bridge over the Chenab River in Reasi district, Jammu & Kashmir, took nearly 12 years to complete. On January 8, 2025, the historic bridge witnessed its first trial run, marking a significant milestone in Indian Railways’ engineering achievements.
Capturing this extraordinary journey on camera—documenting the entire construction process in a chronological narrative for national and international audiences—was an equally challenging endeavor. Sangarmaal Productions, led by filmmaker Asrar Sultanpuri, was entrusted with this task.
Expressing pride in his team’s achievement, Asrar Sultanpuri stated, “This was a tough but fulfilling project for Sangarmaal Productions. I thank God that we have successfully completed the 45-minute documentary, which was approved by Northern Railway and Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) before being submitted to the higher management of AFCONS Infrastructure Ltd., the project’s executing agency.”
On January 22, 2025, the final version of the film was handed over at AFCONS Infra Ltd.’s Head Office in Andheri West, Mumbai. In a photograph marking the occasion, Sh. Sandeep Desai, IT Head, and Sh. Naresh Kumar Sharma, Corporate Media Head of AFCONS Infra Ltd., are seen with Sultanpuri as he delivers the film in a hard disk.
Acknowledging the dedication of his team, Sultanpuri added, “This is a great achievement for Sangarmaal Productions and all team members who gave their best to bring this project to completion.
