A scooty rider and his pillion died in a road accident that took place near Margund area of Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday afternoon.

An official told the news agency that a scooty collided head-on with a sumo near Margund, resulting in on spot death of scooty rider and his pillion.

He said that police have taken cognisance of the matter and have started inquest proceedings in this regard.

The official identified the scooty rider as Sameer Ahmad Khan of Kangan, while identification or pillion was being ascertained—(KNO)
