SDM Karnah, orders educational staff to keep mobile phones off during working hours

Srinagar, Aug 09 : As a move aimed at ensuring the undivided attention of teaching faculty during school hours, the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Karnah has issued a circular mandating that all teachers across various educational institutions within the subdivision must keep their mobile phones switched off during working hours.

The directive, according to order issue, a copy of which lies with Kashmir Bulletin (KB), applies to Higher Secondary Schools, High Schools, Middle, and Primary Schools.

It reads, It is impressed upon Head of the Educational Institutions (Higher Secondary Schools, High Schools, Middle and Primary Schools) of Karnah Sub Division, through the medium of this circular that all the teaching faculty in aforementioned institutions shall keep their Mobile phones Switched off during working hours.

“Only HOIs shall keep their mobile phones switched on to receive relevant communications when ever required. Further if anyone found violating the instructions shall be taken into task under relevant laws. Zonal Education Officer Tangdar along with Cluster Heads to ensure it in letter and spirits,” reads the commune further.
