Senior Journalist and Former Bureau Chief Zee News Naseer Ahmad passed away today. A resident of Bemina in Srinagar, Naseer, 60, was suffering from liver cancer.

In a post on X, Mehbooba Mufti wrote, “Deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Naseer Ahmad, the senior journalist and former Bureau Chief of Zee News. His invaluable contributions to journalism will always be remembered.”

“May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and provide strength to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Ameen.” She added.
