Senior Political Leaders, Top Police Officials Visit Family of Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq in Kupwara

Kupwara, November 18 (Kashmir Pen): Senior political leaders and top police officials on Tuesday visited Muqam-e-Shahwali, Drugmulla, to offer their condolences to the family of Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq, who lost his life in the accidental explosion at Nowgam Police Station on Friday night.

PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, Peoples Conference Chairperson and MLA Handwara Sajad Gani Lone, and AIP senior leader and MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed Ahmad were among the prominent political figures who called on the bereaved family. They were accompanied by senior police officers, including DIG CID Rayees Mohammad Bhat, SP Handwara Sahil Sangral, DySP Headquarters Kupwara Mubashir Ahmad, SHO Awantipora Asif Iqbal, and other officials.

The visiting leaders and officers interacted with the relatives of the deceased, conveying their sympathies and expressing solidarity in this hour of profound grief. They described Inspector Asrar as a dedicated and exemplary officer whose professionalism, commitment, and integrity had earned him deep respect within the force and the community.

Inspector Shah Asrar-ul-Haq was among the nine individuals who lost their lives when seized explosive material accidentally detonated during an assessment at the Nowgam Police Station. Several others sustained injuries in the tragic incident.
