ACC approves two-year extension of AGMUT:2010 IAS officer’s tenure as Deputy Secretary in Ministry of Culture

New Delhi, Aug 20 : The Central Government has approved a two-year extension in the central deputation tenure of Shah Faesal, IAS (AGMUT:2010), currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Culture.

As per an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on August 19, 2026, as per news agency, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the proposal of the Ministry of Culture to extend Faesal’s tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme.

The extension will be for a period of two years beyond September 18, 2026, and up to September 18, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The memorandum stated that Shah Faesal has been on central deputation with effect from September 19, 2022.

The order was issued by Ajit Kumar Ranjan, Deputy Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Personnel and Training, Office of the Establishment Officer, New Delhi.
