Srinagar, Sep 21, 2017, Kashmir Pen: In wake of Muharam-ul-Haram several representatives of different religious organizations from Shia and Sunni communities held a conference in which glowing tributes were paid to Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S).
The Majlis was organized by Anjuman Shari Shian and was presided by its president Aga Syed Hasan Almosvi Alsafvi.
Glowing tributes were paid to Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and Karbala Martyrs in a daylong Majlis Hussain (AS) while the representatives of both Shia and Sunni communities expressed their ideas and opinions to strengthen the bond with each other.
The Majlis was addressed Aga Syed Hasan, the representative of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Maulana Shams Rehman, Anjuman Shari Shian representative Ghulam Muhammad Nagu, Jamat-e-Islami representative Tariq Ahmed Maki, Karwan-i-Islami representative Gulzar Ahmed Shaidayi, Majlis Tahafaz Itihaad representative Ghulam Muhammad Hubbi, Ghulam Qadir Dar, Ghulam Rasool Hur and others.
During the Majlis, the curbs on the Muhram processions from past 27 years were condemned and authorities were asked to lift the curbs this time. Stress was laid on the Shia-Sunni unity and Muslims were asked to follow to teachings of universal religion whole-heartedly.
The recent statement made by India’s BJP leader Subramaniyam Swami was condemned in which he had asked Hindus to divide Muslims.
