Shopain police on Monday arrested accused persons involved in six theft cases also recovered stolen items from them.
Police spokesperson as per a statement issued to Kashmir Bulletin–(KB), said that six cases under FIR Nos:-02/2022, 09/2022, 10/2022,11/2022,12/2022 and 24/2022 were registered at PS Shopian relating to the theft/burglary. In each of these six cases, different gold ornaments,cell phones,etc were stolen.
Spokesperson also said that, during investigation of these cases, Police Shopian employed technical and modern means of investigation so as to trace these cases. During course of investigation, multiple raids were carried out in the localities/other areas and arrested 06 accused persons.
These arrests and subsequent disclosures led to the recovery of gold items of approximately worth 03 lacs; 20 smart mobile phone; smart watches and cash Rs.170000/=. Moreover, he aslo said that, more arrests and more recoveries are expected in these cases.
