Shopkeeper held for selling Petroleum products illegally on exorbitant rates in Baramulla

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday arrested a Shopkeeper for being involved in selling of Petroleum products illegally on exorbitant rates and recovered 130 ltrs of Diesel & 40 litres of Petrol from his shop at Uri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

                                                                                                                                                                   A Spokesperson said that Police under the supervision of Shokat Ali-JKPS, SDPO Uri assisted by Inspr Mohd Shafi, SHO PS Uri arrested Shopkeeper namely Altaf Ahmad Handoo S/O Abdul Hamid Handoo R/O Uri Baramulla who has been found involved in selling of Petroleum products illegal on exorbitant rates at his shop at Main Market Uri, District Baramulla.

During search 130 litres of Diesel & 40 litres of Petrol was recovered from his shop and was taken into custody immediately.

                                                                                                                                                                                      He said that case under sections of Essential Commodities & Petroleum Act registered in Police Station Uri and investigations set in motion.
