A van carrying schoolchildren collided with another vehicle on the Jammu-Srinagar Highway today, injuring six students and the driver of the van.
The incident occurred around 7:45 AM in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir. The van carrying students of KV school, Chenani, from Batote collided head-on with another vehicle at Bagu Nallah in Batote, a police officer said.
The injured driver, Mushtaq Ahmed, and the students were rushed to Community Health Centre Batote for treatment, he added.
The children were given first-aid and handed over to their parents. The driver has been shifted to GMC hospital in Jammu for further treatment
