The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Monday conducted fresh sterilization exercises in several parts of the city to contain the spread of coronavirus.
An official at SMC told that they carried in fresh sterilization exercise in Watal Kadal area of the city, where fresh positive cases were reported on Sunday.
Apart from these areas, SMC conducted sterilization drives in Barzulla, Hyderpora, Mahjoor Nagar, Rawalpora and Humhama areas of the city as the part of fresh sterilization exercise.
“On each day five wards are being covered in two working shifts,” he said. Out of total of 72 wards in city, around 20-25 wards have been completed and rest would be completed this week.
SMC Mayor Junaid Azim Mattu said the ground teams of SMC on Monday conducting Sanitization exercises in Barzulla, Hyderpora, Mahjoor Nagar, Rawalpora and Humhama.
He was also accompanied by chairman PHS, SMC officials and concerned Corporators.
