Snow, Rain, & Gusty Winds to Hit J&K’s Higher Reaches from March 28

Srinagar, March 25: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar today issued a weather advisory, predicting generally dry conditions till March 25, followed by a spell of light rain/snow on March 26.

The weather is expected to worsen from March 28, with light to moderate rain, snow and gusty winds (40-50 KMPH) likely in higher reaches till March 31.

Farmers are advised to suspend farm operations from March 26 and 29-31, while travellers are warned to plan accordingly and follow traffic advisories during this period. Moderate snow is possible over higher reaches with thunder, lightning, and gusty winds from March 28 night to 30 night. The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy from April 1-4.
