The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Sunday said electricity in Kulgam district will be restored within few hours.

Bhat while talking with the news agency said that men and machinery are on job and almost entire work has been completed.

He said that within one to two hours electricity is being restored in the district.

“Major towers had collapsed in district due to which electricity remained disrupted in most parts of the district,” Bhat said

“However, soon after the weather become friendly the Power Development Department (PDD) deployed men and machinery on war footing are restoring the power supply in district,” he said.
