People Associated with Tourism Sector Frazzled with Hopelessness

Tourists from all over the world used to enjoy the beauty of Kashmir in winter especially during snowfall but now the situation has been completely changed despite first snowfall in the valley.

People associated with tourism had pinned their hopes that tourists will visit in valley during snowfall. Despite of first snow fall in valley, hotel rooms and Houseboats are empty and the tourism sector is completely on the verge of disaster.

The lucrative Tourism sector has been in great decline in Kashmir since August 5, 2019 due to Abrogation of Article 370 and 35A. Jammu and Kashmir state which is now union territory is a land where many astounding location exists and its diversified weather , magnificent Meadows and stupendous valley especially during winter snowfall have always been a great attraction for tourists around the globe which plays weighty role in reviving economic activities.

The economic needs of the people are also allied with it by one way or the other way. Once Kashmiri tourism industry was its peak and people around the globe used to visit serene places in Kashmir during winter snowfall .people allied with it were expecting a great move of tourists during the first snowfall in valley but tourists do not want to visit lush valleys at the cost of their lives.

Abrogation of Article and pandemic has hit the tourism sector badly and the situation is same in spite of season’s first snowfall. Government must pay heed to the severity of issue to deal the matter with iron hands. A safe environment must be ensured in order to attract global tourists again which will once again help to flourish the economy of Kashmir.

It is evident that the situation of tourism sector is running in backward direction which has put the tourism sector in dark. During 90’s when the uncertainty was at the top rank but the people allied with tourism sector keep the candle burning. In spite of it ,the Government is ignoring them completely. People allied with tourism sector have requested LG Manoj Sinha to initiate the steps to restart the lucrative industry which attracts the enchantment of tourists all over the world.
