A large number of journalists on Friday participated in special prayers organized at Press enclave here in favour of Maqbool Sahil, writer, journalist, poet and author, who passed away on Tuesday due to a massive heart attack.

The special prayers were organized by Federation of Urdu Working Journalists  and the participants prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.

The fellow journalists recalled Sahil’s role in the field of journalism and described him a man of intellect. They said Sahil’s contribution to journalism will always be remembered.

Born in 1968, Sahil was laid to rest at his ancestral village, Adhal Dull, Kokernag, on Wednesday. A large number of people from various walks of life participated in the funeral prayers.
