Speedy truck moves down SPO in Jammu

Jammu, Nov 16 : A 27-year-old Special Police Officer (SPO) of J&K Police was killed after being run over by a speeding truck Sidhra, Baghi Bahu chowk in wee hours of Wednesday, officials said.
During the incident the truck driver as per officials also suffered injuries.
“SPO Rajat Choudhary, a resident of Bishnah, was part of a police party engaged in checking vehicles when he was hit by a speedy truck bearing Tamil Nadu registration number TN29-BL3747, resulting in critical injuries to him” the officials informed.
“The injured SPO was rushed to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital where he succumbed to injuries”, the officials said.
Meanwhile the truck driver is being treated at a hospital under custody, while as a case under relevant sections of law was registered in this regard.
