The programme was aimed to highlight the measures need to be undertaken for the eradication of drug menace from the society.

During the programme special focus was laid on the City Colleges as the students studying in different colleges are the most vulnerable age group with regard to drug menace.

Speakers on the occasion said that drug addiction is an issue of grave concern, especially among the younger generation and has very ill effects not only on the individual concerned but on the society as a whole.

On the occasion, the participants pledge to stay away from drugs and to make efforts to make Srinagar a drug free District.
