SSP Bandipora chairs crime/security review meeting

In order to review the security scenario and take stock of the investigation of crime cases, SSP Bandipora Shri Mohmad Zahid-JKPS chaired a detailed security review meeting at the Conference Hall of DPL Bandipora.

The meeting was attended by senior officers of Police, Prosecution, all SHOs and I/C PPs of district Bandipora. On the onset of meeting, SSP Bandipora was briefed by the jurisdictional officers about the security, crime scenario. Besides, on security point of view an update of anti-terrorist operations, action against terrorist network etc. was also presented by the concerned officers.

During the meeting, the status of UA(P) cases, NDPS cases, crime against women, illegal extraction of minerals were discussed. SSP Bandipora also reviewed the action being taken against anti-social elements like drug peddlers, gamblers and stressed upon officers to ensure strict action. He also reviewed the progress of actions being taken against terrorist associate networks of terrorist organisations operating in the district.

While interacting with the officers, SSP Bandipora reiterated the importance of maintaining close synergy between the Police and other agencies to meet the security challenges. He urged upon the officers to strengthen the general security grid of their respective areas of responsibility, besides taking stringent action against those involved in anti-national activities.

 Finally, the meeting concluded with the special stress on ‘Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan’ to be carried out throughout the district by Police in close coordination with civil administration and also special drive against drug cartels.
