Stamp duty rates for yr 2024 finalized in Doda

Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh today chaired a meeting of the revenue collectors and other stakeholders to review the proposal for revision of stamp duty rates in the district for the year 2024.

Deputy Commissioner Singh, in collaboration with the District Valuation Committee, approved the stamp duty rates for 2024 after analyzing proposals from different departments, including the Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR).Revenue officials briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the analyzed stamp duty rates, highlighting the percentage hike in both urban and rural areas. The committee decided to increase rates by 13 to 18 percent in urban areas (Municipal Council Doda, Municipal Committee Bhaderwah and Municipal Committee Thathri) and upto 10 percent in rural areas. The officials provided insights into the reasons behind the proposed hike. The District Level Committee, having completed data collection on prevailing market rates of land and property, aims to present a justified and reasonable hike to the Divisional level committee for final approval.The meeting was attended by ACR Doda, GM DIC Doda, DFO Doda, Town Planner Housing and Urban Development, District Panchayat Officer Doda, Executive Officer Doda MC Doda, and other relevant stakeholders. The collaborative effort aimed at ensuring transparent and fair stamp duty rates for the benefit of the community.
