Srinagar, July 10 : All J&K Polytechnics Academic Arrangements Association (AJKPAAA) continued their protest on the 15th consecutive day today.

All the Academic staff of Polytechnic colleges participated in the protest and the teaching work remained suspended in all the Polytechnic colleges.

The protesting staff alleged that the department is even not bothering about those who have given 25 years of their youth to the department.

They said that department itself accepted in the legislative council that out of 313 posts of lecturers 248 are vacant where as out of 89 posts of demonstrators 80 posts are vacant and the academic arrangements are engaged against these clear vacancies, who are the real pillars of the Technical Education Department in running their 24 Polytechnics smoothly.
