A student and a driver are said to have suffered injuries after a school bus fell into a gorge in Chrar-e-Sharief in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, officials said on Wednesday evening.

An official told GNS that a school bus bearing number JK09B 0166 of Harvard Presentation School Bumhama Kupwara, fell into a gorge after the driver lost control over the vehicle while he was about to make a turn from the parking lot adjacent to the shrine.

“As per initial reports available with us, there are injuries to two persons among whom include a student and the bus driver,” the official said adding, “both the injured are being treated upon at local SDH.”

A medical official at SDH Chrar-e-Sharief told GNS that they have received two persons with injuries, among whom include the bus driver Irshad Ahmad from Kupwara. “There is nothing much to worry about as everything is under control,” the official added. (GNS)
