Reports reaching to the news agency said that scores of students along with their parents assembled in the premises of Government High School Thaman Koot, staged the protest and sought the government to look into the matter and provide them proper teaching facility.

“The protesting students and parents locked down the institution,” reports said.

“We are around 11 classes in the high school and authorities have provided us only six teachers to teach, how will the six teachers manage two hundred students,” one of protesting students said.

“On the one hand the government is claiming to improve the literacy rate, on the other hand they are not providing adequate staff to the schools.”

The protesting students, parents appeal higher authorities to take notice of the issue and fill the vacant posts of teachers at the earliest—(KNO)
