This world will exist till the day pious people with strong faith on Almighty Allah are living their lives among us. The creator of this world does not need our useless survival here but we sustain or this world still exists because of the “Momin” having firm faith, investing their time in the way of Almighty Allah, and this is the reality about which the holy book Quran the word of Almighty Allah makes an aloud announcement. Dear readers, why am I writing about this is that the sole purpose, aim, objective of our lives is to testify how we will live our lives, use our time, strength and metal faculty in this world. The words of Quran are, “Blessed be He in whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things have power, He who created death and life, that He may try which of you is best in deed; and He is the Exalted in might, Oft-Forgiving.” [67: 1, 2]. Does it mean that Almighty Allah’s plan has failed while testifying us, because a group among human creation has rejected or are not obeying His commandments … Astagfirullah, No, not at all, this is an exam for we ppeople, we are at loss, we are at the back end because our life is a gift, out time is a gift, our reason is a gift, our body parts are the gifts and more particularly to be His slave is at the top among at all the blessings and it depends on us what to choose. Satan has beg for the time to diverrt Adam i-e, we humans from right path and a time gap has been given to him, but one who is firm in his faith on Almighty, one who is not the slave of worldly things but a slave of Almighty, one who is not the slave of worldly desires, one who is not the slave of humans, one who is not the slave of culture, traditions, fashion, lifestyle of those who are on wrong path, one who is not the slave of modernisation based on anti-islamic principles, one who is not the slave of immoral, unethical conduct – “a momin” can not fall prey of the way, net of satan. Our choice between right and wrong, our choice between just and unjust, our choice between “Rubb” our craetor and satan our enemy; that is the life and hence an exam to testify us. Thise among us who tightly grip the rope of Almighty Allah will succeed in this journey to reach their ultimate destiny and indeed will be rewarded with the best by the Lord.
Dear readers a lot depends upon the repentance, if we get downwards from the track at times, a lot depends upon the supplications, if we feel ourselves isolated, helplessness. Our grand grand grand … parents Hazrat Adam and Hazrat Hawaa started their journey in this world after the long time repentance and supplication was accepted by Almighty Allah. Supplications play an important role in our life, we are blessed by this very gift by Almighty Allah and I acn call it a “mercy chance” for rightening of our transgressions. But what to supplicate, before whom we must supplicate, time for supplication, our feeling while supplication, how to supplicate, under what circumstances our supplications gets accepted and rejected. These are the questions of high importance for a muslim and to ponder upon them for each of us is our prime responsibility. My question is our supplications even in the holy month of Ramadan are not responded by Almighty Allah. This month comes to us with enumerable blessings as compared to other months. Almighty Allah says in Quran, my slave don’t be distressed, I am your Lord; your Lover and I love you more than your dear ones, even love of your mother is not sufficient when comapred with my love for you; I love seventy times more than your mother loves you; come and repent, I will forgive, come second time with sins, third and fourth time even if you will perform wrong deeds in your whole life and at the last moment of your life you feel isolated, dejected and accept me as the supreme Lord, the creator, the forgiver, the sovereign and then repent and make supplication “indeed you will find me the forgiver”. So, Almighty Allah is not the tyrrant, opressor, but lover and He demands faithfulness, transparency, from us also as we have accepted, agreed Him as our “Rubb” when he enquired “Alastabii Rabikum” and we answered “Kaloo Balaa”. So, we must not be derelictious in our duties towards Him.
My question is why our supplications are not answered, when our creator is so merciful. I came to certain conclusions and they are: We knowingly or unknowingly have turned our back from Almighty Allah and accept some of our fellow humans as our Lord in many senses; and the result is our informal supplications don’t yield any result for us; even we don’t make dua and ask any help from our Lord. The tangible things means a lot for we humans and we can not see Almighty Allah so we ignore knowingly or unknowingly; although he is all around us, very much near to us. Secondly, while making Dua’a we are not focused on what we are asking for about, means we are not focused consciously towards the creator; the one to whom we must call upon. We must supplicate with sincere devotion. Thirdly we doubt about the responses, meaning thereby we know we have committed wrong deeds but we must also be sure that Allah is the merciful, the forgiver. Fourthly, we are so much haste about our Dua’s and their quick responses. Our impatience that I prayed but have not been answered, and then we stop making Dua. Fifthly, and more importantly we all must look into the fact of Halla rizq and Haram. What are the ways wherefrom we feed our stomach, wherfrom we feed our family, wherefrom we build our body, reason etc. We must ensure ourselves that we earn the income from Halal ways or resources otherwise Dua will get rejected. Our earning and savings are inclusive of the share of others, those who deserve our support. We supplicate and ask others for supplications in our favour with regard to our savings, modern education, cars, houses, business, luxurious lives for ourselves and our children; the basic or ultimate Dua’a remains there and we say “Rubba Aakhiras Karzay Emaan Atta” because we are sure that till our last breathe we should accumulate wealth, invest our money, our time, our strength for upbringing of our children not in consonance with the Quran and teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) but as per the wishes, desires, designs of those who follow the wrong path. Dear readers we all know what is right way and wrong way. Which one is the way that leads to Allah and the way that leads to to Satan; but we knowingly and unknowingly adopt the latter path, because we do not have the firm faith on the word of Almighty Allah. For a common man or even for every one, Chapter 102 of holy Quran is sufficient to understand the root cause of our destruction with many other reasons responsible as well. It says “The mutual rivalry for pilling up (the things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), until you visit the graves”. So, our supplications are somehow irrelevant, our supplications are not in the way we were guided, our supplications are informal, our supplications do not carry heart and mind, our supplications are wrong at times, our supplications and our deeds have relevance but they lack interlinking, our supplications are circumscribed by time and space, our supplications must be towards our Lord but we have created different idols for us, Allama Iqbal says (Sometimes I removed the stone Idols from the Kaabah; sometimes I established the Idols in the Haram) and we even have placed so many Idols within our heart and mind, then howcome we must expect that our supplications will be answered and we must clear our position why they should not get rejected by the Almighty Allah. Lastly, the lament of Allama Iqbal in his nazam “The Story of Man” is, “Ah! but I could not reach the existence secrets; though I made the world beautiful with my intellect”.
