Suspicious Object Detected, Defused On National Highway At Lawaypora Srinagar

Srinagar, December 27: Security Forces on Wednesday morning found a suspicious object near Parimpora on National Highway in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district. A top police officer told GNS that security forces found a suspicious object fitted with a cylinder at National Highway Parimpora. Soon a Bomb Disposal Squad was summoned to the spot. For the safety of the common public, the suspicious object was destroyed with a controlled explosion, the officer said. The nature of the suspicious object is being ascertained, the officer added. Meanwhile, traffic has been resumed on the National Highway, which was earlier suspended for precautionary measures.
