Dooru Shah Abaad: In a grand memory of Kashmiri luminaries, Rasool Mir And Mahmood Gami at their ancestral region of Dooru Shahabad recently a poetry symposium was conducted honoring both of these literary legends. The symposium was presided over by the distinguished poet Rashid Siddiqi. Alongside him, the presidium was shared by Riyaz Anzanu and Izhar Mubashir, adding to the grace of the occasion. Dr. Shaida Bhat Shaida, a prominent and noted poet hosted the event, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for all attendees. The conference hall of the Firdous Charitable Society served as the perfect backdrop for this cultural extravaganza. The symposium drew participation from influential poets in the region, with Parvez Gulshan, Azam Farooq, Rida Madthur, Sagar Salam, and Yehya Tausif, Murtaza Bismil playing key roles in organizing and contributing to this rich contributed symposium. The poets skillfully brought to life the cultural heritage of Kashmir, showcasing traditional elements like Samawar, Yindar, and Jijeer. The gathering of poets aimed not only to pay homage to the literary giants of Kashmir but also to breathe new life into age-old traditions. The ambiance of the event was further enriched by the revival of customs, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere that resonated with the essence of Kashmiri culture. As the echoes of poetry lingered in the air, attendees left with a deeper appreciation for the rich literary legacy of Kashmir and a renewed commitment to preserving and celebrating its cultural heritage. The poetry extravaganza in Dooru Shahabad undoubtedly stands as a testament to the enduring influence of Kashmiri literature. In the end of the symposium certificates were also distributed.
