Srinagar, June 12:
In a significant boost to Kashmir’s tourism revival, the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) successfully concluded its highly anticipated initiative — Rally for the Valley — in Srinagar. The event witnessed the participation of national office bearers, managing committee members, and dignitaries from across the country, highlighting a united effort to reinvigorate travel and tourism in Jammu & Kashmir.
Extending heartfelt gratitude to all contributors, Mr. Sameer Baktoo, Chairman of the TAAI J&K Chapter, praised the Hon’ble TAAI President Mr. Sunil Kumar, national leadership, and the managing committee for making this impactful campaign a reality.
“A special note of thanks goes to our J&K Chapter members, who stood united in making this initiative a remarkable success,” Baktoo said in a statement. He also commended the Event Management Committee and the hospitality partners — including hotels, houseboats, and transport providers — for their wholehearted support.
The presence and encouragement of former Chairmen and senior members of the J&K Chapter added immense value to the campaign. “Your blessings and guidance were crucial to the momentum we achieved,” Baktoo noted.
Significantly, the national team of TAAI committed to expanding the campaign on a pan-India level, with plans for chapter-wise press briefings and roadshows in prominent cities to promote Kashmir tourism. These initiatives are expected to generate nationwide visibility and renewed interest in the region.
Mr. Baktoo also expressed deep appreciation for his colleagues — Mr. Irshad Hazari (Hon. Secretary) and Mr. Rahil Bashir (Hon. Treasurer) — calling them the “pillars of strength” behind the success of this initiative.
“This achievement belongs to all of you. Your collective energy and enthusiasm made it possible,” he concluded.
The “Rally for the Valley” event not only energized stakeholders within the tourism sector but also sent a clear message that Kashmir remains open, welcoming, and eager to host travelers from across India and beyond.
