Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday said to have solved a theft case by arresting thief and recovered stolen cement mixer in Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A Police Spokesperson said, “On 20/07/23 Police Station Pattan received a written application from one Khursheed Ahmad Zaz S/O Ab Gani Zaz (a Contractor by profession) to the effect that some thieves have stolen his mixer (Cement mixer) from Shirpora Pattan near PHE water filtration plant.”
“On receipt of this application case FIR No.239/2023 U/S 379 IPC stands registered and investigation set into motion.”
“During course of investigation some suspects were called to the Police Station for questioning, also technical tools were also used to trace out the culprits and finally the name of one namely Irshad Majeed Wani S/O Ab Majeed Wani R/O Chanderseer surfaced out and on his disclosure the stolen property got recovered from his residence Chanderseer and he was taken into custody immediately in the instant case and is being questioned in order to ascertain more from him”, he said.
